Phra That Ya Khu chedi lies within the old walls of the ancient town of Fa Daed Song Yang in Kalasin Province. This chedi is octagonal shape with two bell elements shaped like pots placed one on top of the other. This is an unique octagonal chedi in Thailand Phra That Ya Khu, Kalasin The chedi was built by the local people to mark the place where they held meetings and performed communal acts of merit. It is believed that the chedi was built on the site of a much earlier monument which dated back to the Dvaravati period Carved stone boundary markers or Sema of the Dvaravati period can be found scattered throughout Mueang Fa Daed Song Yang.
